Knowledge First Student Awards

At Knowledge First Financial, we love to see our students go on to achieve great things. Through our Foundation, we are proud to support students through their post-secondary journeys, providing them with financial awards to help them as they enter a world of opportunity.

Each year, we offer 60 financial awards to eligible students, worth a total value of $200,000!

These financial awards are available exclusively to Knowledge First and Heritage beneficiaries who are currently pursuing post-secondary studies. To recognize historically underrepresented groups, Knowledge First will grant awards through a lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Awards are offered across three categories to support all paths.

Undergraduate Study Awards: $2,500

Knowledge First offers undergraduate awards for students who are entering or are currently enrolled in post-secondary undergraduate studies. Twenty scholarships valued at $2,500 each will be awarded to students demonstrating community involvement, passion for education and vision. Adjudication criteria focuses on financial need, personal statements and academic accomplishments.

Graduate Study Awards: $5,000

As in previous years, Knowledge First offers awards to students who are continuing their education at the graduate level. Twenty financial awards, valued at $5,000, are available to exceptional students that have achieved great things in academics, illustrated passion within their field of study and demonstrated a commitment towards community involvement. Adjudication criteria focuses on academic accomplishment, financial need, references, and personal statements.

Skilled Trade Awards: $2,500

Did you know that you can use your RESP savings to learn how to become a skilled tradesperson? Knowledge First offers twenty financial awards, valued at $2,500 each, for those who have a desire to further their interest in a particular skilled trade, achieved great skills in school and demonstrated a commitment towards community involvement.
